HVG Facades joins the 2026 Sustainability Summit

As part of our long-standing partnership with Architecture & Design, HVG Facades is proud to be part of the 2026 Sustainability Summit, held in Sydney on Thursday, 12 November. From a day of CPD sessions and keynotes on climate resilience to an evening celebrating the industry's standout projects, it's a full program built around better, more responsible design. 

We're proud to sponsor the Community & Social Impact category, recognising the work that gives back to the people and places it touches. From the first session to the final award, we'll be there for all of it. 

Design that gives back

The Community & Social Impact category recognises architectural and design projects that deliver measurable, positive outcomes for the communities they serve. It celebrates work that advances social equity, inclusivity, health, resilience and local economic vitality through thoughtful, sustainable design.

Judges will look for projects shaped by genuine community engagement from concept through to delivery, with clear evidence of long-term benefit. The strongest entries will respond authentically to local context, empower underrepresented voices and create lasting social value alongside environmental performance.

For us, it's a natural fit. A façade is often the first part of a building a community experiences, and the decisions behind it should serve the people around it as much as the project itself. Winners will be announced that evening at the Sustainability Awards Gala.

Expert-led CPD sessions

From 8:30am to 4:00pm, the Fullerton Hotel becomes a hub for some of the industry's most pressing conversations. A program of CPD sessions runs throughout the day, each one led by practitioners working at the edge of sustainable and resilient design. For architects, designers and specifiers, it's a rare chance to sharpen their thinking, hear from leading voices and meet their professional development goals in a single, focused day.

Among them is Designing for Fire Resilience in a Changing Climate, the session we're proud to support. As bushfire seasons lengthen and intensify, the brief for Australian buildings is shifting. This session looks at how design decisions, from material selection to integrated design thinking, can help buildings and the communities around them withstand what's ahead, and keep performing long after they're built.
